The moth and the flame featuring Joshua Sailo

With my blanketty wings I come to you, offering to protect you from the world. You stand there, aglow in your efficient carbon halo, not letting me come close, not letting me go. My wings and my heart beat for you, but all you do is dance your exotic, enticing dance, filling the room like you always do. Too irressistable. Too hot. Too unaccessible. But always calling my name. Drawing me to you, a siren of yellow and flame. This is not a story that ends well. You will dance, cast shadows, and wax warm and wane dead. I hover around you, keeping vigil with an idiotic hope. When morning comes, there will be nothing to show but a strong scent of burnt wings and moth smoke. A reminder to not get too close next time.

What of this then. Romeo and Juliet should have known better. Opposites should not, must not attract. And here I am, a little incapicatated and a lot of disappointed. Ready to do this dance, with every moonrise.
