The weather forecast says gloomy
A depression in the Bay of Bengal
And in the bay of my feelings
Cyclones, hurricanes and stormy crying.

But little acts of rebellion such as these
Dressing like a dancing sunbeam
Yellows and fuchsia, a neon shard of rainbow
While the horizon howls grey.
Smiling in the face of the wreckage of my dreams.   
Waking up, showing up, bleeding heart under the armour.
Waterproof mascara. Flawless face on.

Perhaps these acts will help me weather the storm
Break through these clouds
And surface once again, in the light.
